Looking After Your Dog

  • Feeding Your Dog

To reach optimal health, your dog’s diet should include the right balance of protein, fibre, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, fats, and oils. Seems a bit overwhelming? Lucky for you, here at Naturo we have the perfect recipes all worked out to provide a 100% natural, complete meal for your dog.

It is totally up to preference whether you feed your dog a diet of only wet or dry food, or a mixture. Consult with your vet on what you think is the best option for your dog.

Generally, Adult and Senior dogs are fed twice a day. However, there are different factors that will influence the amount of food a dog will need including (but not limited to):

    • Age
    • Breed
    • Weight
    • Level of Activity
    • Dietary Needs

Our interactive feeding guide will give you an indication of how much you should feed them of their favourite Naturo product. You will also need to take into consideration any treats you may give them.

In addition to how much they eat, there are a few other guidelines when it comes to feeding your dog:

    • Fresh water should be provided daily
    • Separate bowls should be provided for water and food
    • Food needs to be served at room temperature
    • Dry Dog Food needs to be stored in a clean, dry environment
    • Once open, Wet Dog Food needs to be stored in a fridge. Naturo can be stored in a fridge for up to 72 hours. After this period, Wet Dog Food should be discarded
    • Do not feed your dog food meant for cats
    • Do not feed your dog brittle bones, for example, chicken bones
    • Keep an eye on your dog’s weight and appetite. If there are any changes or concerns, contact your vet for discussion immediately
  • Your Dogs Behaviour
